May affirmation: Give people more than they expect

Summer is coming and the SEED office has been busy preparing for a busy month ahead. Thanks to all the women (and a few men!) that came to the SEED book events in Scotland and it was so inspiring to meet you all. Both the events, at Ottakar’s in Edinburgh and Borders in Glasgow, were a huge success and I’m sure many lasting friendships and business partnerships will bloom from these meetings.
New SEED groups of budding entrepreneurs are blossoming all over the UK. Local groups of women have formed in Scotland, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes and Oxford and there are many more in the process of forming. Not only are these groups a great place for women to help and support each other with their entrepreneurial ideas, but also as a way to make new friends and grow a strong and sustainable local community network.
Thanks for all the positive feedback about the SEED community board as being the ideal place to nurture and grow your new groups online. It’s a great place for chatting and sharing ideas and of course, you can always leave messages and questions for me there too. I’ll look forward to hearing from all you soon.
The 21 May workshop is fast approaching. I’ll be facilitating a special one-day SEED Experience in Mayfair, London. Join me for this exciting and life-changing day!

‘Plant Your SEEDs at Starbucks’
This month we are launching ‘Plant Your SEEDs at Starbucks’. This innovative programme encourages women to meet, chat and work together to create projects that will directly benefit their local community. ‘Plant Your SEEDs at Starbucks’ women’s circles will be held in selected Starbucks through the summer. Check out the community notice board in your local Starbucks and find out if there’s a SEED event happening in your area.
